To Neue Nationalgalerie Both are undoubted world stars: the American artist Frank Stella, who has used painting since the 1960s as a medium to pierce the surrounding space, and the Spanish engineer and architect Santiago Calatrava, who through a series of graceful bridges and curved buildings has created highly poetic. The office is currently working on three branch libraries for the Brooklyn Public Library, the renovation of Weill Hall at Cornell University, and several single-family houses in upstate New York.
